What's next
A lightweight view of what's on the way. No quarter commitments, no firm dates — when something ships, the relevant page is updated and this list shrinks.
Recently shipped
- Tournaments — buy-in tournaments alongside cash games, with prize pools settled on-chain. See Tournaments.
In progress
- Run it twice — for all-in pots at the river, the remaining cards run multiple times to reduce variance. In active development.
- In-app onramp — buy USDC (a digital dollar that holds a stable value) with a card or bank account inside Stacked. Today players bring their own USDC; this removes that step.
On the roadmap
- Verifiable shuffling — an on-chain commit-reveal scheme so anyone can check the cards weren't manipulated. Today's shuffler uses standard server-side cryptographic randomness.
- External contract audit — formal third-party security review of the contracts. They're source-verified and unit-tested today; the audit completes the trust story.
- Expanded geographic availability — we're working through what regions Stacked can operate in. See Where Stacked is available.
Ideas
Things that have been discussed but aren't committed:
- Voice and video chat at the table.
- More poker variants beyond Texas Hold'em.
- A public GitHub repo for the contracts.
What's not planned
A few things people sometimes ask about that we don't intend to build:
- Multi-chain deployment beyond Base (the Ethereum-based network, with very low fees, that Stacked runs on).
- A governance token.
What's next
- Security & contracts → — current security status.
- How Stacked works → — how the system is put together today.
